Taking your music to the stage involves more than rehearsing your songs. Your setup needs to work technically, be practical enough to travel with, and fit both your music and the realities of different venues.
In this workshop, we’ll go through the essential steps of building an efficient and reliable live show — from choosing your gear and translating your music to the stage to advancing shows and communicating with venues and technical staff.
We’ll cover:
Your live setup: What gear do you actually need, and how can you keep it travel-friendly?
Bringing your music to the stage: Band, solo setup, backing tracks or a combination?
Show preparation: How do you advance a show and communicate your technical requirements?
Setlist & stage flow: How do you structure your set, plan transitions and decide when to speak?
Soundcheck & communication: How do you work efficiently with sound personnel and promoters?
Lighting: How can you make sure the lighting supports the atmosphere of your show?
Reliability: How do you prepare your setup for different venues and avoid unnecessary technical problems?
Whether you’re preparing your first live shows or want to bring an existing setup to a more professional level, we’ll look at your individual needs and find practical solutions that fit your music, budget and performance style.
