Dear fans and friends, today on Sunday and then on Tuesday (1.3.22) in Finland we celebrate laskiainen, a Shrove Sunday and Tuesday. The celebration has a long history and it comes from starting to prepare for Easter. Nowadays laskiainen is about eating sweet buns filled with whipped cream and either almond paste or jam (the treat is called Laskiaispulla) and having fun outdoors.
